Ever wonder about the small icon in the search box on your LinkedIn mobile app? This LinkedIn QR code feature gives you an easy way to connect with people you meet by sharing your profile code or by scanning their profile code in just seconds.
To find your QR code, follow these steps:
-Open the LinkedIn app on your mobile device
-Tap the QR code in the Home tab Search bar
-Tap MY CODE to find your QR code, then share your code by text, email, LinkedIn, or third-party app, or save it to your PHOTOS (iOS) or GALLERY (Android)
To scan someone’s QR code:
-Open the LinkedIn app
-Tap the QR code
-Tap SCAN (if prompted, tap ENABLE CAMERA ACCESS)
-Hold your mobile device directly above the person’s QR code, or tap ADD CODE FROM GALLERY to select a QR code that you’ve saved to your photo gallery.
Once the LinkedIn member’s QR code has been scanned, you’ll be redirected to their profile where you can invite him or her to connect.
To grow your network, share your code in your email signature, include it on your web site, and add it into presentations and marketing materials. If you’re hosting an event, include people’s LinkedIn QR codes on their nametags to facilitate easy connections between attendees.
